Miller’s Meadow Farm, Medfield Ma

Blue Hour partner John Day designed and built this 3,000 square foot home on one of the original downtown streets in Medfield, MA. The exterior of the house is a version of an 1840 Greek Revival. John worked with Connor Building of Vermont on the design and the panelized fabrication. The interior layout is an open and updated mixture of reclaimed pine floors, traditional trim, tall windows, a modern Poggen Pohl kitchen and more contemporary details. The house is designed to be not only energy efficient, but to also comply with a budget that is not reflected in the final product. Constructed with quality, affordable materials that have been applied and designed in a unique way, this home is an excellent lesson in the value of sweat and design equity.
